This course is for customers who need to add more value and extend functionality beyond e-mail to Lotus Domino applications and collaborate in real time. Lotus Notes 8.5 continues to incorporate the open standards of the Eclipse application development framework and a component-based service-oriented architecture (SOA). Developers and customers now have the ability to build Domino and non-Domino composite applications to Lotus Notes rich clients. In this workshop, you will be given hands-on experiences using the Eclipse, .NSF, and xPages programming models.
In this workshop, hear how further improvements in Lotus Domino 8.5 builds on the breakthrough innovation started in IBM Lotus Notes 8 and Domino 8 to help you build applications more quickly and reuse existing assets as business needs evolve. Through hands-on exercises, you will learn how server-managed provisioning works, how to install Notes Traveler - the wireless e-mail solution for Windows Mobile devices, and how to incorporate sidebar, widgets and Lotus Notes plug-ins in your deployments. This workshop covers the new Domino Designer 8.5, including using Web services, and native Web service consumer support. X-Page application development has been introduced on the Lotus Notes client.
